Since 2006, ISP has been
available
24/7 for those experiencing suicidal thoughts either by
phone or local consultations.
ISP has a prescreening
questionnaire to determine at risk individuals for future suicides.
In adolescents, apathy is the number one overlooked warning sign.
The highest risk group for
future suicides are those that cleanup the suicide scene of a loved
one, or that of a close friend. These individuals have a 75%
higher risk than the general population for future suicides. This is
why we provide FREE suicide scene cleaning (all volunteers), for
those that do not have insurance and/or the financial ability to
have it done professionally. 80% of all in home suicides are
presently cleaned up by a family member and/or a close friend.
